Elevator pitch: Ali G vs Trumps
I've been a little triumphalist, and I remember one of the best pitches I've seen, that of Mr Ali G Trumps:

Tech Made in Spain
It isn’t something that surprised me, is something that we know long time ago -at least the Spanish entrepreneurs who are trying to go international-. Spanish innovation and research is NOT appreciated, but researchers are, therefore many ended up working in the United States, Germany, England, etc..
We are paying the bill of ‘Spain is Different’ concept. After years of selling sun, beach, apartments and party, you can hardly say to this global market that we do technology too.
If you ask for known brands / companies or 'respected' on the outside, you could find El Corte Ingles, and perhaps most prominent outside Inditex –Zara-. What about technology? I think only known is Telefónica, not because of its best of bread products, but because of the market share it has achieved based on checkbook. Then no one else.
I mean we all agree that a country with a little ambition, the first thing we try to do, is to create a business, innovation and entrepreneurship network which will provide a competitive advantage in a global marketplace. If we evaluate the results, Spain has absolutely failed, and we have a few more years of failure, but we will proceed with our sun and beach.
The government has too much work to do in foreign trade, a problem even bigger of our housing market bubble. Something ready for next Mission Impossible with Tom Cruise, milestone: making the country's competitiveness rises.
While newspapers bombard us with Alonso winning formula 1, or Spain trying to win a Eurocup –last time we won was at 1964 in Soviet Union -, and you know we are always favourites.
I just hope that people like Tuenti, and all of us, earn the respect and be proud of Tech Made in Spain.

I'm happy today...

The first reason is something that happened a few days ago but came to my ears until Monday. "Thanks to the company Unkasoft, Luis and Belén won the prize for the business idea in the field of ICT (Information and Communication)" you can see further details here.
These two students from 5 th Telecommunications were talking to us for some time, investigating everything about the idea of Advertising Games. We’re proud of the work they did, and happy because the ICT award they won. See their gratitude is a pleasure, really welcome, congratulations. Anyhow, I will see if they could join us in the
The second reason that I’m glad to hear about the campaign from Oxfam in Hardgame2 & Meristation. I like to see, we care about these Games for Change. From here to thanks DOID which has helped us to transmit it, but every time I am pleased to be a member.

New way to look for a job

I just received new invitations to join NotchUp in, and perhaps you ask yourself, What's that? . Well, I mean is new idea that would soon emulate services like Monster or Infojobs.
It’s a site where you have professional profile and which have access to recruiters and human resource companies. Now, it’s a beta version, through invitations.
Complete your professional profile is one of the most tedious thing, in this case allowing import, even from Linkedin and is quite fast.
Up to this point there is nothing new.
Well, the difference is that people want to interview you must pay for it. This is where gets interesting. How much? Well, You define it in your profile. In my case, that I’m masochistic and I don’t want to change my job - for peace of my partners-. All the payments system is based on Paypal, very well known if you use payments over the Internet.
It also has a service how serious is the interviewee so that interviewers can assess it, very important to ensure quality. And seems, Notchup mind the quality, because at least in the beta version, before giving me access the have validated my profile.
I guess that finding good team members is becoming more complicated, and that the services on the Internet to recruit staff will innovate day by day.

Ideas for advergame

I’ve seen the news, one surprised to me, far from our market and our daily view, sadly. Always, when a company decided to produce an advergame, the advertiser not very often knows what the best thing to get successful campaign is. For that reason usually they leave all the responsibility on the company that produces the game, sometimes would like to have the “phone a friend” option like in “Who Wants to Be a Millionaire” to answer the question. Really, what the supplier knows about the advertiser consumers? Who knows? Maybe the best, would be that an advertiser defines exactly that is what they need. In the case of not knowing it, the one that asks he is idiot 5 minutes. The one that does not ask is idiot all its life.
Doritos, instead of the “phone a friend” option, decided to use the “audience” option. “The Unlock Xbox”, extraordinary initiative, which invites to provide ideas for the new game, and get the best idea to fit their brand. www.snackstrongproductions.com
Who knows better than the consumers what they like? I mean that concept is not viable in most of advertisers. The strategy that has decided to use Doritos requires time and conviction in the taken decisions.
As we are not going to often see this kind of ideas, join them and participate in this brainstorming.

Become a Guru, Why not?

Often we listened, it comes the guru of X or the Guru of Y made a brilliant contribution.
According to RAE association guru means, “Person to whom considers teacher or guides spiritual, or to who recognizes intellectual authority to him”. I guess you haven’t seen gurus in the spiritual range recently.
Wikipedia describes a concept closest to which there is in the world, defining the guru like an initiator of a concept. But we go by that way, would respond remembering a sentence of a movie, Guru in the time or the space? … I understand that in a space like my house, I am the guru of the telecommunications, perhaps or the one that was a guru of computer science when the IBM cards, was not it now. Therefore, if we judged to a guru like “person whom recognizes persistent intellectual authority to him in the time and universally”, have left few rather.
Better we will remain with guru like an initiator of a concept. Of those, I have the luck to know many, all of them entrepreneurs. My friends of Omepet and their manifesto, the people of Anyplays, the guru of blogs in error500, my friends from Valencia, the people of AOF team, Safira, Bango… and very many friends more, the list would never end.
You know, look for the guru that you have inside and you do not let yourselves shock by others - except for which they take orange wear and they are bald.
