MINI Jukebox, advergaming for iphone

MINI advergaming foray with its mobile marketing agency Mobile Dreams Factory. As we see in the press release on the official website of MINI, MINI Jukebox is able to travel back in time, reliving the past five decades through music. The game objective is simple: follow the music, clicking on the iPhone screen. You find different levels of difficulty for both casual users, and for the most advanced ones.
The game is completely free and can easily be downloaded from Apple Store. To do this, just enter keywords in the search as "MINI" or directly "MINI Jukebox".
Day after day we see more big brands using videogames as a marketing tool. The trend is still to grow the spending in interactive marketing and reduce the traditional.

Report about mobile marketing in Spain
The result can not be more encouraging. In the middle of a crisis in which we see everything going down, mobile marketing thrust one's chest out, and grow by 13.3%, with 32 million Euros investment.

And mobile Internet applications are those brilliant higher growth.

Similarly, the future trend is that these formats will continue to grow. From my point of view, 'search' will rise, and get the same weight than Internet.
The concept of advertising in video games, what to say? Is our format, and give us our name Unkasoft Advergaming. In-game format is a non-intrusive one, something that SMS and MMS are more difficult to justify.
Bluetooth, it still also has a small component of intrusiveness.
VOICE, is still to take off in Spain, although the U.S. seems to have more success.

The report reflects what we have seen in the market this week with the Google acquisition of AdMob, a leading mobile marketing network. Google paid U.S. $ 750M for a company which was founded in 2006.

IIR Mobile Advertising. Advertising 1.0 vs. 2.0
It has begun the countdown, today I started to spot the list of people who will attend the event and I liked it.
In the event we will defend the values of mobile advertising, and I say that because, sustainable publicity, respect for the environment, innovation and respect for users are more necessary than ever.
An example of traditional advertising I see -suffer- every day, advertising hand in hand, windscreens, and leafleting.
I suffer due several reasons; I didn’t ask for paper on my car’s windscreens, intrusive, obviously is something that anyone asked. The second and more importantly, the Amazon forest is disappearing at an alarming rate, so every time I see that we abuse of our forests to do something so pointless, I get grouchy. And therefore, the publicity achieved is absolutely negative.
I also believe that companies who use these
means have a low level in their marketing departments.
The digital advertising, online advertising, I hope to grow and the event will IIR ideas to advertisers to work in a more sustainable way.
So we need to save our natural resources to do their job better.

Unkasofk at the IIR’s Mobile Advertising 2008

Unkasoft, in particular Jaime will be one of the speakers at IIR's Mobile Advertising 2008. So June 23th will be the moment in
As the IIR‘s team says: ’2008 certainly looks like being the year when this nascent market finally gears up for growth. The rollout of flat rate data pricing by operators across the globe has boosted mobile internet and content markets, crucially increasing the reach and effectiveness of mobile advertising”. As we commented recently in the MMA’s committees, educating the market - advertisers, the media and the rest of the ecosystem - represents one of the biggest challenges facing the advertising industry moving at the moment. And mind the standardization necessary for a successful market.
Therefore under the IIR am convinced that this is a good forum to rely on the agenda with people like:
Xavier Perret, VP Communication Suite & Digital Advertising, ORANGE FT GROUP
Juhani Kivikangas, VP Content, TELIASONERA
Tanya Field, Head of
Carl Taylor, Director of Applications & Services, Global Technology Strategy, HUTCHISON WHAMPOA (
Stefaan Van Dyck, Head of Business Development, PROXIMUS
Nuno Lopes Gama,
Giles Rhys Jones, Director Interactive, OGILVYONE & OGILVY ADVERTISING
Alain Heureux, President, IAB
Joy Whitehead, Communications Director, ZED MEDIA
Henry Stevens, Director of Media & Entertainment, GSMA
…
Also our friends from Gomo News are one of the media partners, something that I am glad to see.
Last Friday Ricardo told me that Crisis in Latin means opportunity. But I’m opting for representation in Japanese, which means simultaneously two very different things, opportunity and danger. In this Crisis scenario, I see an opportunity in the mobile marketing, but what we must be prepared to avoid possible dangers.
I hope you join us there.

I'm happy today...

The first reason is something that happened a few days ago but came to my ears until Monday. "Thanks to the company Unkasoft, Luis and Belén won the prize for the business idea in the field of ICT (Information and Communication)" you can see further details here.
These two students from 5 th Telecommunications were talking to us for some time, investigating everything about the idea of Advertising Games. We’re proud of the work they did, and happy because the ICT award they won. See their gratitude is a pleasure, really welcome, congratulations. Anyhow, I will see if they could join us in the
The second reason that I’m glad to hear about the campaign from Oxfam in Hardgame2 & Meristation. I like to see, we care about these Games for Change. From here to thanks DOID which has helped us to transmit it, but every time I am pleased to be a member.

Oxfam Australia, games for change

Some time ago, Intermon Oxfam launched a serious game explaining us the problem of the refugee camps in
The problem persists, and efforts to remind that problem continues. Oxfam
I think is worthy to dedicate some of our time to this initiative, it’s your option, 24 million people are displaced due to conflicts, and they have no option. In addition to the separated families from their homes, the situation in the camps is hard on them food and water, are not insured.
I still do not understand; why our governments are so fast regulating things like the digital canon, or the Spanish government spent 1,000 million euros in advertising last four years, instead mind the conflicts where people die are forgotten. The saddest is that I don’t believe any of the main politic parties in
From here I want to thank Oxfam, their continue efforts to help those 24 million people.

We’ve killed our boss... Don't say anything.

We’re back; starting this 2008 plenty of energy & challenges, hopefully none will resist. The New Year came with a cool idea of mobile marketing, which was used in the film No Digas Nada (Don't say anything), perfect for use with your boss and send it to your colleagues. As in the movie, erase all those people who make your life impossible. Those rich politicians, these posh people going to the gym, the caretaker controlling all your movements even when you go to the bath,…
You could download the application from here, remember, you need to have a mobile with camera support -my father will not be able to download it in its mobile, for sure-.
I’ve already seen people in the office taking me pictures, so I must have died in several ways. Among us, I mean everyone at the office hate me, perhaps due to the impossible projects I found.
You can't lose this opportunity.

MURPHY'S LAW & Serious game
If anything can go wrong, it Will
Corollary:
1. If there is a possibility of several things going wrong, the one that will cause the most damage will be the one to go wrong
2. If anything just cannot go wrong, it will anyway
3. If you perceive that there are four possible ways in which something can go wrong, and circumvent these, then a fifth way, unprepared for, will promptly develop
A new a 'serious game' reaches the market, in this case it is an action launched by the Galician government, through the Ministry of Labour. The aim is to promote the prevention of risks at work. The "Movemento Against the Murphy's Law" is trying to save us.
Today, three people die every day in accidents at work in
As you could see in our friend’s site, imagame, the mobile game was produced by Loroestudio and also can be played through a web emulator. The game is powered by Unkasoft Platform, so let me another medal to the team that we have.
I encourage you to participate in this initiative, and I hope the game can avoid Murphy’s law.

Unkasoft, FICOD 2007 Award

Yesterday November 6, the Minister of Industry, Trade and Tourism, Joan Clos, has opened the International Digital Content Forum 2007. Unkasoft has received the Innovation Award for the project: Advergaming on the fly.
The reason for the award is our platform from which could introduce advertising into videogames automatically. AOF is the tool required for any Mobile Marketing project.
http://www.ficod2007.es/blog/?p=67#more-67
Sincerely, we are grateful to FICOD and the Ministry for the award. The situation became perfect, because while I was waiting, I met Alberto Benbunan from Mobile Dreams, also awarded. Two awards for companies within the Mobile Marketing Association, it appears that this finally takes off.
Within the environment of SIMO, Nae from DOID gave a demonstration of how fast he could publish news (http://www.anaitgames.com/?p=6486).
We hope that soon we could give more news like this.

Kaixo Elebila!

Kaixo!, I have to improve my euskera. Today we have to mention a new launch in the advergaming market. Elebila, the first euskera searcher on the Internet. The project launched by BlueXare, a mobile marketing agency, has focused the campaign to promote the euskera language. Once again we observe how to use games to move an idea; you can download the game from: http://www.elebila.eu/game/.
The game has another peculiarity; Elebila Game was produced using Unkasoft Platform, something crucial for us. I hope that our partner Bluexare continue promoting the mobile marketing and advergaming.
Congratulations to Elebila and Bluexare.

Mobile marketing and new legal aspects.

It seems that this new media are gaining importance and its regulation is going to be fundamental to success. The Spanish Ministry of Industry, Tourism and Commerce is going to standardize the use of SMS using the same regulation we have for email, based on the consent of the user - they are not make life difficult for their self-.
It seems that the regulations always go slower than the market. Not only that, but that the norms seem that they have been elaborated without understanding the technology and its use. The annoyance of a SMS nonasked is far from the annoyance of an email. The immediacy or the impossibility to introduce filters anti-Spam, lets to the exposed consumer to suffer intrusive ads. Also it’s not regulated the publicity in formats different than SMS, once again is left all ambiguous.
For example, something that usually requests in any form of a game ours to send information to an advertiser, the email info. The email it’s considers personal data, if it indicates full name, company, etc. Juan_Antonio_muñoz@miservidor.com, would consider personal data. If the data is wow@hotmail.com, no longer personal data is considered. Who knows what kind of email use their customer? .
Let us cross the fingers, I hope they will do their best to regulate a new media with a 102% of penetration, and avoid the copy-paste from the regulation referring to Internet.

Ideas for advergame

I’ve seen the news, one surprised to me, far from our market and our daily view, sadly. Always, when a company decided to produce an advergame, the advertiser not very often knows what the best thing to get successful campaign is. For that reason usually they leave all the responsibility on the company that produces the game, sometimes would like to have the “phone a friend” option like in “Who Wants to Be a Millionaire” to answer the question. Really, what the supplier knows about the advertiser consumers? Who knows? Maybe the best, would be that an advertiser defines exactly that is what they need. In the case of not knowing it, the one that asks he is idiot 5 minutes. The one that does not ask is idiot all its life.
Doritos, instead of the “phone a friend” option, decided to use the “audience” option. “The Unlock Xbox”, extraordinary initiative, which invites to provide ideas for the new game, and get the best idea to fit their brand. www.snackstrongproductions.com
Who knows better than the consumers what they like? I mean that concept is not viable in most of advertisers. The strategy that has decided to use Doritos requires time and conviction in the taken decisions.
As we are not going to often see this kind of ideas, join them and participate in this brainstorming.
